New Summer Litter of Goldendoodle Puppies In Houston!

Stork Alert! We have a brand new litter of goldendoodle puppies in Houston this summer! These sweet little boys and girls arrived on Father’s Day! These goldedoodle puppies will be beautiful cream and apricot in coloring. A few have a white spot here and there! Two of the puppies have curlier coats, and the rest are going to have looser curls. These pups have a goldendoodle mom and a medium standard poodle dad. We expect them to be about 50-60 pounds full grown, which are medium-sized standard goldendoodles. Please see pictures below for examples of older doodles from last year’s litter.
Meet and Greet and Pick Up Dates:

The pups from this litter will be ready for their meet and greet at 5 weeks old, in mid-July. I know it’s hard to believe they grow that quickly from these little helpless pups to playful puppies who will be begging you to pick them up.
Pick up day will be at 8 weeks of age, on August 10th.

What is a Home-Raised Goldendoodle Pup?

Now, that our sweet little goldendoodle puppies are here, a little bit about these cuties and the steps we will be taking with them as they grow. Each of our goldendoodle puppies are home-raised with our family.
Right now these babies are 3 days old (as of the writing of this post). Their little eyes and ears should open in the next week to ten days, but in the meantime, we will be doing daily ENS training (Early Neurological Stimulation). We also handle and love on them daily to get them used to human interaction.
Next, once their eyes and ears open, we start early socialization exercises, including introducing new toys and noises, moving on to new places, surfaces, etc. as they grow and are ready for new things. They start having some outside playtime about 4-5 weeks old. By that time they have also been introduced to the litter box and have started early potty training. This teaches them some cleanliness and allows them to keep their play and sleep area fairly clean (for a puppy anyways).
They also start eating wet food and then kibble between 3-5 weeks and sleeping in their crates at night. By the time they go to their new homes at 8 weeks, they are eating dry kibble and (generally) doing well in their crates at night,
Here at Rainfield early socialization is a very important part of raising our puppies. If you would like to know more about the Rainfield Difference, click here.
That’s it in a nutshell. We love to answer any questions you may have. We will give our advice on what you need to get ready for the new puppy, will fill you in on their schedule, and walk you through the process as best we can so you can be ready for welcoming your new goldendoodle puppy into your lives and homes.
What Will These Goldendoodle Pups Look Like?
In case you are wondering what these little cuties will look like as they grow, here are pictures we recently received of Gus and Denali, both from last’s year’s litter. They are a year old now and we get great reports of what good boys they are. A big thank you to Magda and Judy for sending in pictures of their handsome boys!
